MURRAYVALE Aged Care passed its most recent accreditation with flying colours after receiving a visit from Australian Aged Care Quality Agency.

The agency assessed Murrayvale against four standards that involved looking at policies and systems and speaking to residents and staff.

Director of Nursing Jackie Griffiths said the staff at Murrayvale were the reason behind the great result.

“We have about 70 staff here and they all contribute to make Murrayvale the great place it is,” she said.

“They work so hard to not just meet minimum standards but to enrich the lives of residents.

“Everyone is very chuffed because the accreditation is a gruelling process where everything is scrutinised.”

Ms Griffiths said the best part of the process was hearing the overwhelmingly positive feedback from staff and residents.

“We didn’t just meet the minimum standards but we exceeded them by providing exceptional quality,” she said.

“It shows the community can have faith and trust in the care we provide at Murrayvale.”
